|’96 Porsche 993 Carrera 4||Specifications|
|Model||993 Carrera 4|
The Porsche 993 was the ultimate evolution of the traditional 911. The 911 started its life back in 1964 as a successor to the 356. Erwin Komeda and Ferdinand Alexander Porsche (nicknamed Butzi) developed the 911. It was mainly due to the inspirational drawing of Butzi that the all time great line of the iconic 911 came into life. The 911 was first know as the 901, but an alleged discussion with Peugeot led Porsche to change its name into 911. Porsche did not want to lose an important market such as France due to discussions with one of its premier Marques.
The classic line of the 911 changed for the first time in 1974 when the impact bumpers came into the life of the 911. Thereafter the line of the 911 stayed almost unchanged until the 964, and then again with the ultimate iteration of the classic 911 shape in the model that became known as the 993.
The 993 was also the last air-cooled 911 and bound to be replaced by a water-cooled engine.
This particular 993 is a stunning example especially because of its special colour. The car was ordered in the special colour ‘tannengrün metallic”. The interior of the car is finished in a cashmere beige soft look leather interior with cashmere beige carpets. This is a truly stunning colour combination.
The car has the 3.8 litre variorum engine with 285 bhp and is equipped with Porsche’s all road system (Carrera 4).
The cars specification label under the front hood denominates all the options the car was equipped with, when build at Porsche back in 1996. This car has been build with all the imaginable and most desirable options.
