911motorsport was invited by Porsche Germany to have two cars on display at the Porsche Museum in Zuffenhausen at the 50 years of 911 Special Exhibition. The Porsche museum asked for the 1967 911R, originally the back up car for the Monza record run in 1967, also used as the press demonstration car driven by Vic Elford at the Hockenheimring back in 1967.
The second car being the Carrera RSR 3.0 raced back in the days by Ludwig Heimrath, a native German who worked for Porsche, before exiling to Canada. This particular car ran in the IMSA Camel GT series in 1975 and was the very last RSR 3.0 of the 12 cars that Porsche ever build.
These cars will remain at the Zuffenhausen Porsche Museum until the end of the exhibit.
Surely worthwhile a visit.
