The first Porsche Classic Challenge was held back in 2010. Already at his fourth edition, the Challenge is rapidly becoming a classic in the Touristic rally scene. It was mind blowing to see how much effort was made to make  the 2013 Challenge into an unforgettable event. Everything, absolutely-everything, was organised in minute detail: magnificent routes, perfect drinks & lunches, and the most exquisite hotels to stay overnight. The perfect entourage all the way. Apart from the fabulous settings there was also some competitive action going on! The Challenge consisted of several touristic rally stages that had to be driven by road book. All options (dot & arrow, card reading, plain drawings of local roads, etc…) were used to make it rather difficult for all teams involved. At first it did take us some time to get used to it all, but by the second day we did absolutely magnificent. My co driver, who was also the spiritual father to our participation, finally got the hang of it and at the end we finished with only 38 penalty points. If only we could have done better the first day, we would have been top finishers. Then again, the race is never won with “if’s and than’s”.

Hopefully we will be re-invited for next year’s Rally!
